Up to 10,000 yen discount on accommodation fees with Himi Support Discount Coupon - Available during the cold buri sightseeing season
Himi City, Toyama Prefecture will hold a campaign to issue Himi Support Discount coupons on Rakuten Travel between November 25, 2024 (Monday) ~ February 21, 2025 (Friday). The target facilities are 32 accommodations in the city
The facilities eligible for the discount coupon are 32 accommodations in Himi City. The stay period is from December 2 (Monday) ~ February 28 (Friday) of the following year, and the discount is not available during the year-end and New Year holidays (December 28 ~ January 3). The discount will be applied to the total price of a single booking.
Types of coupons
- If you make a reservation for 3 people or more, and the total is 20,000 yen or more: 10,000 yen discount
- If you make a reservation for 2 or more people and the total is 10,000 yen or more: 5,000 yen discount
- For reservations of 6,000 yen or more: 3,000 yen discount

To obtain coupons and make accommodation reservations, please visit Rakuten Travel's "Himi City Special Page" to be released on Monday, November 18. After obtaining the applicable discount coupon, book the eligible accommodation.
The centerpiece of winter sightseeing "Himi no Buri"
One of the winter traditions of Himi City is the "Himi yellowtail" that is landed at the Himi Fishing Port. The peak season for yellowtail is usually from late November to mid-January. This season, about 1,100 yellowtails were landed on November 8, and it became a hot topic.
In the future, attention will be paid to the fact that when the local fishery cooperatives issue a "Secret Cold Declaration", the full-fledged cold yellowtail season of the year will begin. The size, quantity, and shape of the yellowtail caught are determined, and yellowtail weighing more than 6 kg is certified as "Himi-cold".
Himiburi Fair
To coincide with the yellowtail season, the "Secret Fair" will be held at 25 accommodation facilities and restaurants in the city from December 1 (Sunday) ~ February 28 (Friday), and each store will offer its own yellowtail cuisine.
Expectations for the cold yellowtail season after the earthquake
Himi City is located at the base of the Noto Peninsula, and the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on New Year's Day 2024 measured a seismic intensity of 5. As a result, the number of tourists is decreasing.
Himi City commented, "Although the number of tourists continues to decline even after the earthquake, we hope that many people will visit Himi and discover the charm of winter during the upcoming Buri tourism season."
