The historic town of Takatori is holding the "1st Takatori Castle Machiya Hina Festival" - from Japan's largest exhibition to vintage
In the castle town area "Tosa Kaido" in Takatori Town, Nara Prefecture, the "1st Takatori Castle Town House Hina Festival" is being held until March 16, 2025 (Sunday). During the period, in addition to the traditional Hinamatsuri exhibition, special events are planned, and some exhibition projects will be open to the public until Sunday, April 20th.

At the event venue, the "Hina no Foster Care Hall," exhibits "Tendan no Hina," which is lined up with 500 dolls in 17 tiers. At Tsubosakadera Temple, one of the largest "Hina Mandalas" (pictured) in Japan with 4,500 dolls will appear (on display until April 20). In addition, at the new facility, the Takatori Hina Museum, valuable vintage chicks are on display, and you can learn about the history and culture of Hina dolls.
During the period, various events such as Hina Marche (March 2 and 16), Hinamatsuri tea ceremony and music festival (March 15) will be held.
The exhibition halls are generally open from 10:00~16:00. There is an admission fee (800 yen for adults and 200 yen for children) at Tsubohanji Temple, and an admission fee of 200 yen for the Takatori Hina Museum. Access to the site is about a 1-hour walk from Tsubo-Hanyama Station on the Kintetsu Yoshino Line, or about 15 minutes by bus.
