"2025 Tsubame Cherry Blossom Festival" will be held in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture - "Watershed Oiran Dochu" will be held on April 13

The biggest attraction of the Cherry Blossom Festival is the "Watershed Oiran Road". This event originated as a costume procession for cherry blossom viewers around the 13th year of the Taisho era, and has been held as a tourist event since Showa 11, and this year marks the 80th anniversary. This year's event will be held on Sunday, April 13. The venue and time will be 11:30~12:00 in "Okawazu Watershed Sakura Park" and 13:45~14:15 near the "Jizodo Honmachi Street Intersection".

This year's "Somei Yoshino Tao" will be played by Niigata Broadcasting announcer Kana Mitsuishi. Tsubame City PR ambassador who lives in Niigata Prefecture as an umbrella bearer! Mr. Yamawaki will be in charge. In addition, a commemorative photo session will be held. The first 20 groups to participate each time will be able to participate, and numbered tickets will be distributed from 15 minutes before the appearance time of each venue.

"Night cherry blossom light up" at 4 locations in Tsubame City

During the festival, every day from 18:00 ~ 22:00, cherry blossoms will be lit up at night at four locations in the city (Okawazu Watershed Cherry Blossom Trees / Photo, JR Watershed Station, Yoshida Fureai Plaza, Omagari River Park Cherry Blossom Trees).
