Sasaichi Sake Brewery in Otsuki offers tasting of Japan sake and wine at the brewery opening in spring Popular restaurants in the prefecture also participate
Sasaichi Shuzo, a sake brewery in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, will hold a spring brewery opening event "Saichi Day" on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30, 2025. On Saichi Day, you can sample a total of 14 kinds of Japan sake and wine, including the spring-only "Sasaichi Haru Junmai Ginjo Usunigori" and the sparkling wine "OLIFANT Koshu Bottled Secondary Fermented Sparkling," which won a gold medal at an international competition. In addition, spring-only "Nigori Wain Strawberry" will also be offered.
On the day of the event, four popular restaurants in Yamanashi Prefecture will open special stores and offer pairing menus with Sasaichi Shuzo's luxury brand "Ashita". The four participating restaurants are the Chinese restaurant "NIGRAT" and the teppanyaki restaurant "Teppanyaki Nakazawa" in Kofu City, the French restaurant "LA MAISON ANCIENNE" in Yamanashi City, and the creative restaurant "nôtori" in Oshino Village. Each restaurant offers a special menu that can be enjoyed with Japan sake and wine.
In addition, at the café attached to the sake brewery, collaboration sweets with the Shizuoka café "Gemminy's" will be sold for a limited time.
Admission is free, and tickets are sold for 2,800 yen, which includes a glass and 10 tasting tickets. The event will be held from 9:30~17:00 on both days.
Access to the site is a 5-minute walk from Sasago Station on the JR Chuo Line. From JR Shinjuku Station, take the Chuo Line for about 1 hour 30 minutes ~ 2 hours.
