A trip to experience island life for 3 days and 2 nights on Amami Oshima-"Denpaku Island Nuyori Plan" reservation acceptance starts
On March 28, 2025, "Denpaku" (Amami Innovation), which is working to revitalize the community in the Amami Archipelago, will start selling the "Denpaku Island Nuyori Stay Plan," a two-night, three-day accommodation plan limited to one group per day that touches the life of the island. The stay period is May 10 (Sat) ~ June 29 (Sun).
"Yoriyori" means "slowly, leisurely" in the Amami dialect. In the accommodation plan, you will experience the life of shimachu (island people) through "farming experience" at Kusuda Farm, a local farmer who grows organic vegetables without pesticides, and "island cuisine making experience" taught by an aunt on the island.
In addition, as a food experience, breakfast is provided for two days during your stay where you can enjoy the island's home-cooked cuisine and local ingredients such as black rice, grilled fish, and pork miso unique to Amami. You can enjoy a stay as if you were living in the "Denpaku Kominya" scattered around the traditional Amami village.
During your stay of 2 or 3 days, you can take a walk around the village, watch the starry sky, and visit sightseeing spots in a relaxing time. The inn also has a notebook where you can write down what you notice during your stay.
The accommodation fee is 12,800 yen ~ per person (when used by 3 people), and reservations can be made from the official website (up to 7 days in advance).
