Ibaraki Prefecture Oarai Tourism Association|Sandy beach library to open again this year at Oarai Sun Beach|Thorough corona measures

The Tourism Association of Oarai Town, Ibaraki Prefecture will open a sandy beach library at Oarai Sun Beach from October 16 (Sat) ~ October 31 (Sun).

The library is a project started last year by volunteers within the tourism association.
The building has a reception, a tarp (40 seats), a parasol (20 seats), and a bookshelf space. In addition to contactless reception, seating away from others, basic infection prevention such as masks, disinfection of books and seats, and users are required to register with "Ibaraki Amabie-chan" (infection control system), we are taking thorough measures against infectious diseases.

 

The museum is open on weekdays (11 a.m. ~ 13 p.m. and 1 p.m. ~ 3 p.m.), Saturdays and Sundays (10 a.m. ~ 11:30 a.m. ~ 13 p.m., 13 ~ 14:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. ~ 4 p.m.), and until 2:30 p.m. on October 31. Admission is 500 yen, free for university students and younger. Advance reservations are made from the official website of the Tourism Association.
For local transportation, get off at Oarai Station on the Kashima Rinkai Railway and walk. 30 minutes by bus from Mito Station on the JR Joban Line.
