Daigo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture|Meiji old folk house as a one-month limited restaurant from October 22nd|Serving dishes with local ingredients
Located in the northwestern part of Ibaraki Prefecture, Daigo Town will open a limited-time restaurant "Daigo Chabo" that will serve local ingredients using the world's cooking methods at the old folk house "Old Yoshinari Residence" from October 22 (Friday) ~ November 21 (Sunday), 2021. It is operated by Satoyume.
The concept is an exploration restaurant. The meaning of creating opportunities with old folk houses and food. The old house is a two-story wooden building. The building was registered in the first year of the Meiji era. The Bunshu of the Taiko Survey Area was found inside, and it is estimated that the construction date is quite old.
It is open for lunch and a café. The chef is Kae Terawaki, who is well versed in the world's food culture. We offer a menu using local specialties such as military chicken, ayu, apples, tea, and vegetables, and cooking methods from around the world. Lunch is 1,500 yen per type (with vegetable obanzai and miso potage). The café offers apple mousse cake and sparkling juice.
Business hours are 11 a.m. ~ 2 p.m. for lunch and 2 p.m. ~ 4 p.m. for café. The last order is 30 minutes before the end of each. Closed: 10/28, 11/4, 9, 11, 18 all on Thursdays. Reservations can be made by phone Or email.
Access by public transportation is from Mito Station on the Suigori Line and get off at Hitachi Daiko Station (about 1 hour and 20 minutes). It takes about 20 minutes by car from a Nissan e-share car near the station. It takes about 40 minutes by rental car from Nasushiobara Station on the Tohoku Shinkansen.
