In Niigata City, until Sunday, November 21, a fruit and large kite-themed event "Autumn is Minami-ku! Festa ~Megumi of the Wind and the Earth~".
During the event, events will be held at five tourist farms and districts in Minami-ku. At the tourist farm, you can enjoy breakfast using freshly picked fruits from 9 a.m. and a harvest experience at the "Fruit Farm Breakfast" (*), and a campaign to win fruits and mushrooms by lottery. In the Shirane area, a kite-making experience will be held at the "Shirone Great Kite and History Museum" that exhibits local traditions and large kites, a photo exhibition of the area's past and present, a screening of the documentary film "Kite no Kuni," and a light-up event. In addition, in the Ally area, colorful Japanese umbrellas are lit up at the Sasakawa House, an important cultural property built in 1826. In addition, there is also a stamp rally and a calf feeding experience.
Access to Minami-ku, Niigata City is by route bus from JR Niigata Station or JR Niitsu Station. There is a circular bus in Minami Ward.

Participant registration has ended for the second time out of a total of five. Currently, 10/31 (Sun) Agri Park, 11/6 (Sat) Fruit Dome Yada Farm, 11/14 (Sun) Shirane Grape Garden are being accepted. The participation fee is 5,000 yen for adults and 4,000 yen for elementary school students and younger. Each person has a capacity of 20 people. Admission is free.
