JTB Okinawa|Providing "Okinawa Japan Heritage App" by route bus

On Tuesday, November 16, JTB Okinawa and the Japan Tourism Promotion Association launched the Okinawa Japan Heritage App, which introduces model courses of Japan heritage in Okinawa.

The app is for day trips using public transportation to 2 days and 1 night. Model courses, excursion passes, and privilege coupons are posted. There are four model courses by theme and era. The time required for each course is displayed as 6 hours, 1 day, 1 night and 2 days. Stopover spots, public transportation transfer information, and maps are posted. You can purchase an Okinawa route excursion pass (1-day or 3-day pass) with unlimited travel on the route bus only or as a set with the monorail on the app. In addition, coupons are available at about 60 tourist facilities, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. around the model course and in the wider area of the main island of Okinawa.

The app won the "Japan Heritage Tourism Award" at the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Sports and Cultural Tourism Awards 2021. JTB Okinawa says, "We hope that it will help to eliminate traffic congestion and promote the use of public transportation."
