Opened a limited-time "crab hut" in Matsue Port, Shimane Prefecture|Style of choosing your own crabs and then grilling and eating them

On Saturday, November 20th, the "Matsue Crab Hut" opened at Matsue Port in Shimane Prefecture for a limited time. It will be open until Monday, February 28 next year. The store is operated by the Matsue Winter Tourism Attraction Project.

The inside of the crab hut is equipped with a chair for a beer case and a desk with a cassette stove. Customers choose their favorite ingredients from the showcase, pay the bills, take the ingredients back to their seats, bake them themselves, and eat them.

 

The menu includes grilled pine needle crab (market price 3,000 yen ~ 6,000 yen per cup), red snow crab (market price 1,800 yen ~ 3,000 yen per cup), dried fish (330 yen ~), and seafood skewers (330 yen ~). In addition, crab soup (550 yen), crab ramen (550 yen), etc. For drinks, local sake from the brewery in the city and Sakaiminato is also available.

Business hours are 11:00~21:00 (L.O 20:30). Advance reservation (080-4161₋3405). The usage time is 1 hour and 30 minutes per group. The location is the Matsue Port Management Office (150-7 Higashi-Asahi-cho). Access is a 15-minute walk from JR Matsue Station and about 3 minutes by taxi.

 

Tatsuya Ota, the representative of the Matsue Winter Tourism Attraction Project, said, "I have been involved in urban development and bento business in Matsue, and this year I took over the operation of "Crab Hut". In the hut, tourist posters are displayed in various places. If you taste crab, I want you to visit Matsue City for a sightseeing trip." I say.
