Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture|Japan's first JAL flight attendant provides sightseeing information by taxi
Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, is planning to be the first in Japan where Japan Airlines cabin attendants will serve as tourist guides aboard the Izumo sightseeing taxi "Usagi-go" after Golden Week in May 2021.

There are 20 JAL cabin attendants in charge of guides. I was scheduled to work from GW, but it was postponed due to the declaration of a state of emergency. Future work will be determined depending on the status of the declaration of the emergency itself. It is not possible for the user of the Usagi to appoint a flight attendant as a guide. On days when there is no guide, tourist information will be provided at the tourist information center "Jinmon-dori Omotenashi Station" near Izumo Taisha.
The Izumo sightseeing taxi "Usagi-go" offers 9 courses with the theme of forest, sea, township, beauty, and hot spring. All will be accompanied by a guide. We offer programs that allow you to experience power spots and special meals that are difficult to experience by public transportation.
The Izumo City Tourism Association says, "We hope that the participation of JAL cabin attendants will improve the image of Izumo and improve the level of hospitality in Izumo as a whole."
