Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture, open call for lookalikes of Mitsuhide Akechi to appear on the city's poster (deadline 12/22) Video "Mitsuhide Mind" wins an award
The city of Fukuchiyama in Kyoto Prefecture is looking for lookalikes of Mitsuhide Akechi to appear in posters and advertisements for the city to be announced in March for the project "Mitsuhide Mind," which is based on the theme of Akechi Mitsuhide, a warlord with ties to the city. The application period is until Wednesday, December 22. (Photo: Fukuchiyama Castle)

There are three qualifications for application. The first is a citizen of Fukuchiyama or a person who likes or has a connection with Fukuchiyama and Akechi Mitsuhide. The second is a person who resembles Akechi Mitsuhide. The third is a person who can cooperate with the poster shooting (transportation expenses for the shooting). As a selection document, two types of photographs (front and diagonal to resemble the portrait of Prince Mitsuhide) are prepared. You can apply using the dedicated application form, SNS, or by mail (details respectively).
Staff at the City Promotion Section of City Hall will take pictures. The selection process will be made by city officials and poster creators.
As an entry bonus, the role of Mitsuhide Akechi (1 person) will appear in posters and newspaper advertisements, and will be presented with a completed poster and a Fukuchiyama Castle Ishigaki T-shirt (not for sale). All applicants will receive a participation prize Mitsuhide Mind certificate and Mitsuhide goods.
Fukuchiyama City was expected to see a boom in tourism with the broadcast of last year's taiga drama "Kirin ga Kuru" starring Mitsuhide Akechi, but it has been difficult due to the Corona disaster. In order to overcome adversity, it represents the urban development of citizens inherited from Mitsuhide. Video "Mitsuhide Mind" was produced.
Then, in November, the work was selected for the "Michihiko Yanouchi Award" selected by the chairman of the jury of the creative director from among 143 nominated works at the Regional Promotion Award 2021 (Video Division) sponsored by the Regional Revitalization Center.
