Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture will open the wharf of the port, which is usually off-limits, as a photo spot at sunset time 16:45 ~ 18:00 from January 18 (Tue) ~ 27 (Thu), where the spectacular view "Light Route" seen from Miike Port, a World Heritage Site, can be seen more beautifully.

It will be open for 10 days only at the first quay of the inner port of Miike Port. Twice a year, in January and November, for about 10 days, the "Passage of Light" appears, where the setting sun goes straight from the tip of the Miike Port shipping route through the locks. There is also an observatory nearby, but the view from the No. 1 quay of Miike Port, which will be opened this time, is said to be the most beautiful.

At the venue, Kohiiya, a self-roasted coffee shop, will sell warm drinks, and a tram café in front of Omuta Station will sell fruit sandwiches.

Access is available at the Miike Port Observatory parking lot (Shinkocho 1), but the number of parking spaces is limited. Access by rental bicycle or taxi is safe.

Omuta City said, "Miike Port has become a World Heritage Site, and the name recognition of the Light Route is increasing. I want to nurture it as an important asset." I say.
