From Thursday, March 10, the Minamisanriku Town Tourism Association has started accepting group reservations for two disaster prevention education programs to learn about the earthquake disaster, disaster prevention, and mitigation at the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial, an earthquake disaster heritage facility that will open in October this fall. The aim of the program is to draw people to the experience of major earthquakes and disaster prevention.
The first is a program to deepen one's own thinking through videos of testimonies of residents at the time of the earthquake, which is open to 10~60 people at a time. Beyond that, divide it into two doses. The second is a workshop to learn specific actions, "Workshops to bring home one action on disaster prevention that can be practiced from today," and 10~200 people are accepted at a time. Great Earthquake Heritage Museum "Minamisanriku 311 Memorial"

It opened in October 2022 near the Reconstruction Memorial Park, where the former Disaster Prevention Measures Agency Building, which symbolizes the disaster in Minamisanriku Town, stands. The concept is "to face oneself and one's life." Testimonies from local residents who pass on the great earthquake to future generations, art exhibitions, theaters, etc.
