Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture|Short Film Festival held under Japan's best starry sky this summer

From August 8 (Sun) ~ 16 (Mon), 2021, "Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2021 in Achi - Japan's No. 1 Starry Sky Film Festival" will be held at the ski resort "Fujimidai Kogen Ropeway Heavens Sonohara" in Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture and a café in Hirugami Onsen Town. The event was organized by the Star Village Achi Visitor Promotion Council.

This summer's festival will be held as a special event for the 10th anniversary of the Paradise Night Tour in the Sky. There are two venues: "Sonohara" and Cafe Hinogami Kiwosuku. The films to be screened will be the winners of the Short Shorts Film Festival & ASIA 2021 to be held in Tokyo in June.

 

Achi Village in Nagano Prefecture was recognized as the No. 1 place suitable for stargazing in the Ministry of the Environment's 2006 National Starry Sky Continuous Observation Project. At the scenic ski resort overlooking the Southern Alps, the stargazing event "Paradise in the Sky Night Tour" and the Short Film Film Festival have been held since the year before last.

 

Outline of the event

1. Fujimidai Kogen Ropeway Heavens Sonohara (Venue)
・Admission: 3,200 yen for high school students and older, 1,600 yen for elementary and junior high school students, free for infants
* Including gondola fee
・Ticket sales: Online, reservations with accommodation at official hotels and inns, direct reservations, travel agencies, accommodation reservation sites

2. Kiwosuku (venue)
・Admission: 1 order system, free admission

 

Continuous observation of the national starry sky has been a project of the Ministry of the Environment every summer and winter since 1988. Every year, we announced a ranking of places suitable for stargazing (ended at the end of March 25).
