Haneda Airport Official Photo Contest 2022|Announcement of 16 Winning Works|Grand Prize for Unique Composition
On Friday, March 18, Japan Airport Terminal, which operates Haneda Airport Passenger Terminal, announced the 16 winning entries of the 3rd Haneda Airport Photo Contest "Haneda Airport Official Photo Contest 2022" on the contest special page.

From mid-December to late January last year, we solicited works on the theme of the fascinating scenery of Haneda Airport. Approximately 1,000 entries were submitted. In addition to the work of print photography, it is said that works from a wide range of people were gathered by making it possible to apply with "#羽田空港公式フォトコン2022" on Instagram as a smartphone award.
This time, the grand prize was awarded to "Usual Point" (photo: Kiyoshi Ueda), which was photographed from the observation deck of Terminal 1 using a smartphone and mirrorless aircraft as the subject. The judges were aerial photographers Luke Ozawa and Charlie Kojo.

Digest of the Judges' Evaluation of the Grand Prize (Excerpt from Comments)
"It's a piece that speaks to the times we live in, and we don't usually have this kind of selection, but it's fresh," said Luke Ozawa.
"I got through it with the idea of taking a diagonal angle and taking a picture of the screen of a smartphone," says Charlie Kojo.
On the special page of the contest, it was evaluated as a prize-winning work. We distribute general reviews and advice on judging and filming on Yotube videos.
The contest organizers say, "We want you to see the wonderful works that capture the emotional moments, and feel the feeling of traveling and the charm of Haneda Airport."
