The Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) has announced that it will expand the scope of the area covered by the "Prefectural Citizen Discount Support" (regional tourism business support) from April 1 (Friday) to April 28 (Thursday).

Specifically, it will be expanded from the current (until March 31) maximum scope of prefectural discount support and adjacent prefectures to the range of regional blocks determined by the national government. The regional blocks are "Hokkaido / Tohoku", "Kanto", "Hokuriku Shinetsu / Chubu", "", "Chugoku / Shikoku", and "Kyushu / Okinawa".

The conditions for use are proof of vaccination or a negative test. If you are in the same prefecture, you can use it even if you have two doses of the vaccine at the discretion of the governor (or a negative certificate as well). Children under the age of 12 accompanied by a guardian do not need to be vaccinated or tested.
