"Chome" is an Akita dog that is the adopted daughter of the Akita dog "Wasao", who passed away in June of the year before last after serving as a tourist station manager at JR Ajigazawa Station (Urigasawa Town) in Aomori Prefecture as a busakawa dog. In April last year, "Chome" succeeded "Wasao" as the chief tourism sales officer at Ajigazawa Station. This year, the name was changed and the appointment of the chief tourism officer was decided. In the future, we will be active in welcoming tourists when they arrive at Urigasawa Station on the special rapid train "Resort Shirakami" and participating in events.

Special train "Resort Shirakami" operates the Ou Main Line and Gono Line between JR Japan "Akita Station" ~ "Hirosaki Station" and "Aomori Station". 3 round trips per day. From the train window, you can enjoy the view of the Shirakami Mountains and the Sea of Japan, a World Natural Heritage Site.
