Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse|Closed until this winter due to renovation work|Various events continue

The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, one of the most popular tourist spots in the Yokohama Bay area, will be temporarily closed from Monday, May 9 to this winter due to large-scale renovation work associated with equipment maintenance.

The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, which is certified as a national modernization industrial heritage, was built by the Meiji government as a bonded warehouse. Building No. 2 was completed in 1911 and Building No. 1 was completed in 1913. Since its opening in 2002 as a cultural and commercial facility, it has become one of the leading tourist attractions in the Yokohama Bay Area, with more than 110 million visitors visiting, and this year marks the 20th anniversary of its opening. During the closure period, events held in the on-site plaza will continue.
