The Hakuba Goryu Alpine Botanical Garden in Nagano Prefecture will be open on weekends only from June 5 (Sat) ~ 13 (Sun) before the official opening on June 24, 2021.

The botanical garden is open as a ski resort in winter and spring, and as a botanical garden in summer and autumn. The botanical garden usually opens in late June. At that time, the peak of rare alpine plants had passed. Open from the beginning of June in the near summer, you can observe rare alpine plants such as rupso, white mallow, butterfly lily, black lily, and chinguruma.
During the weekend-only opening period, there will also be a walking tour of the alpine botanical garden immediately after the snow melts with the curator (participation fee 500 yen), a free gift of alpine plant seedlings (first 50 people), and an alpine plant herbal tea tasting session.
It will be open only on weekends on June 5 (Sat), 6 (Sat), 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun). Admission is free. Gondola round-trip fare 2,000 yen. Regular opening is June 19 (Sat) ~ October 24 (Sun).
