"Aotake Making" experience to learn how to make Sano ramen noodles with your body|Sano City Tourism Association and long-established stores

The local ramen "Sano Ramen" in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, which is famous nationwide, incorporates "green bamboo uchi" into the manufacturing method to achieve the texture of chewy noodles.

 

In the "Aotake Uchi" experience, Mr. Tanitsu (former president of the Sano Ramen Association), the owner of the long-established Sano Ramen store "Sano Yatsuya", will guide you. After stretching the noodle dough with one foot on a 2-meter-long green bamboo and putting your weight on it, the noodles are cut with a special knife. We will actually eat ramen made with the noodles. Along the way, the owner explains the history and characteristics of Sano Ramen. It takes about 1 hour.

 

The experience is accepted from 2 people between 11 a.m. ~ 5 p.m. each day on Tuesday ~ Friday (5 times in total). The participation fee is 3,000 yen for adults of junior high school age and older, and 2,500 yen for elementary school students. Souvenir noodles included.
