Airbnb, a private lodging brokerage, announced on Wednesday, July 7 that it will officially codify the prohibition of holding parties that cause inconvenience to others at brokerage facilities.
With the onset of the Corona disaster, bars and clubs were closed, and there was an increase in the number of malicious parties held in Airbnb rented houses, and in August 2020, Airbnb registered facilities around the world temporarily banned parties. As a result, it was demonstrated to reduce the party's problem reporting rate by 44%, so we decided to make it permanent and codify.
Airbnb codifies the prohibition of party use, abolishes reservations for 17 or more people, suspends the accounts of violators, and forcibly cancels them. We have established deterrence measures such as setting up a dedicated complaint desk.
Airbnb said, "From now on, hosts will be responsible for the homes they manage, and guests will treat the facilities as well as their own."
