Fukui Prefecture and Sakiyoken of Siumai collaborate|For the Hokuriku Shinkansen Fukui extension in the spring of 2024
On Tuesday, July 19, Fukui Prefecture signed an agreement with Sakiyoken (Yokohama City), a manufacturer and distributor of Siumai Ekiben, to develop "Fukui Original Bento" and other items in anticipation of the Fukui extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in the spring of 2024.

The terms of the agreement are that Sakiyoken will use ingredients from Fukui Prefecture to manufacture and sell "Fukui Original Bento" next spring and "Hokuriku Shinkansen Opening Bento" in the spring of 2024. In the fall of the same year, the JR Hokuriku Destination Campaign original bento box is also scheduled to be developed. In addition, Sakiyoken plans to hold workshops for food and beverage businesses in Fukui Prefecture to encourage the development of bento boxes, restaurant menus, souvenirs, etc. Details will be decided in future discussions.
Fukui Prefecture analyzed that the knowledge of Sakiyoken, which has succeeded in branding Yokohama with Siumai last year, can be used to promote tourism and food. Fukui Prefecture approached Sakiyoken and decided to work on it. This is the first time that Sakiyoken has signed a similar agreement with a prefectural government.

On the 19th, a signing ceremony was held at the Fukui Prefectural Office. Governor Sugimoto (right) said, "Fukui is a treasure trove of food, and I want people to know the goodness of Fukui and create a new attraction." (Left) President Nonami said, "We will actively make efforts to let people know about Fukui in Yokohama."
