Japan Tourism Agency|Establishment of a special consultation desk for tourism-related businesses damaged by heavy rains in Tohoku and Hokushinetsu

On Friday, August 5, the Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) set up special consultation desks at the Tohoku Transport Bureau and the Hokuriku Shinetsu Transport Bureau for tourism-related businesses damaged by heavy rains in Hokushinetsu and Tohoku from August 3, Reiwa 4. It is scheduled to start full-scale operations on Monday, August 8.

The purpose of the establishment of the Special Consultation Room is to alleviate the concerns of tourism-related businesses that have suffered enormous damage due to heavy rains. After hearing the damage situation and requests from tourism-related businesses affected by the disaster, we will introduce support measures.

 

Authorities and target areas Tohoku Transport Bureau There are "Aomori Prefecture", "Iwate Prefecture", "Miyagi Prefecture", "Fukushima Prefecture", "Akita Prefecture", and "Yamagata Prefecture". Hokuriku Shinetsu Transport Bureau There are "Niigata Prefecture", "Nagano Prefecture", "Toyama Prefecture", and "Ishikawa Prefecture". The Tourism Planning Department is in charge of all of the Transportation Bureaus.

In addition to the Special Consultation Desk, we will also provide information in response to inquiries from the Special Consultation Desk of each Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry and each Labor Bureau.
