About 200,000 sunflowers that local children helped sow are in full bloom|Hida Funayama Snow Resort Alcopia
Hida-Funayama Snow Resort Alcopia in Gifu Prefecture is holding "Sunflower Garden 2022" until Sunday, August 21.

Approximately 200,000 sunflowers bloom at the venue in June, and children from a local nursery school seed them and bloom in late July. Currently, the flowers bloom for 6 minutes and are in good condition. The best time to see it is around August 10~15 during the Obon period. We devised a way to make it possible to appreciate it for a long time, such as staggering the day of sowing seeds (Hida Momogengo Kugu no Tourism Association).
At the venue, jumbo soap bubbles, slacklines, trampolines, and vinyl pools are prepared for children to play. There is also a corner selling specialty products such as dumplings and chilled tomatoes. You can stay at your leisure.
A photo contest was held in conjunction with the sunflower garden. Post the photo of the sunflower you took on Instagram, or apply by mail or email. The Grand Prize was awarded to Hida beef, the Excellence Award was awarded to Hida apples, and the Sunflower Award was awarded to local specialties. Details are folded Taoyuan Township Tourism Association Browse to the site. The photo shows the winner of last year's contest.
