Hachioji City will hold the "Mt. Takao Summer Light Up" PR campaign for Hachioji Japan, including the illumination of Mt. Takao Yakuoin from August 17 (Wed) ~ 31 (Wed).

The illumination was part of the PR for "Mt. Takao ~The Tale of Kuwato Spun by People's Prayers~", which was registered as a Japan Heritage Site in June 2020. In addition to lighting up the Takaoyama Yakuoin Temple, a cultural property constituent of Japan Heritage, a special red stamp will be awarded, and a health climbing certificate will be stamped. On 8/21 and 22 and the following week's Saturdays and Sundays, "Yugure Cafe" will open, offering shaved ice with natural water from Mt. Takao and vegetarian curry. There is also a monk's sermon at the mountain gate (daily) and a night guard (8/27 and 28).
The lighting time is 18:30~20:00 during the period.
A campaign is underway to register for a LINE official account to win original coaster first-come, first-served gifts, meal tickets, mulberry hand towels, and Japan heritage goods.
Japan Heritage "Mt. Takao ~The Story of Kuwato spun by people's prayers~" At the end of the Sengoku period, Hojo Ujiteru built a castle town in Hachioji, encouraged sericulture and weaving, and the story of "Kuwato" was recognized as Tokyo's first Japan heritage site.
