Campaign to serve rice and eggplant dishes produced in 40,000 in 5 cities with the hottest record in Japan|PR for heat countermeasures
Atsu Machi and JA Kochi will hold the "Gabutto Rice Eggplant Campaign 2022" from September 12 (Mon) ~ 25 (Sun), offering dishes using Shimanto rice eggplant, which is being promoted as a measure against the heat, at restaurants in five cities that recorded the highest temperature in Japan's history.

The campaign was held at a total of 31 stores in Shimanto City (Kochi Prefecture), Hamamatsu City (Shizuoka Prefecture), Kumagaya City (Saitama Prefecture), Tajimi City (Gifu Prefecture), and Yamagata City (Yamagata Prefecture). Shimanto rice eggplant, which is usually shipped from May ~ November, is suitable for heat countermeasures because it contains water and abundant potassium. Atsu Machi is an organization of private organizations in five cities that recorded the highest temperature in Japan's history. The Ministry of the Environment and each prefecture and city sponsor the organization.
