Choshu Garden in front of Yamaguchi Prefecture's national treasure "Rurikoji Five-storied Pagoda"|Proposing local experiences such as drinking gairo and traditional crafts
On Monday, September 23 (national holiday), Choshu Bussan (Yamaguchi City) will open a take-out café "5-edge café" in conjunction with the renewal of the tourist facility "Choshu-en" in front of the national treasure "Rurikoji Temple Five-storied Pagoda". The name of the café "5-edge café" is a combination of the "5" in the five-storied pagoda and the "edge" of the connection with people. The menu includes products from local businesses, such as "Ouchi Eika Blend (Hot 350 yen)", "Mori Ishin Blend (Ice Cream 400 yen)", and "Akikawa Farm's Soft Serve Ice Cream (400 yen)" made with milk from "Akikawa Farm".
The drinking gairo asked a female student of Yamaguchi Prefectural University to taste it. Along with comments such as "new sensation" and "Yamaguchi-like", there are also suggestions such as "hot in winter" and "I want a limited flavor".
At the new facility, we propose a new program to experience traditional crafts. Beginning in 1926, Nakamura Mingeisha supervised "Ouchi Doll Painting (880 yen ~)" and "Tokuji Washi Dyeing Experience (770 yen)" supervised by Tokuji Washi Works represented by a woman who moved to Yamaguchi and studied Japanese paper. Apply for the trial until the day before Official Site From.

The new facility plans to strengthen the provision of food and experiences in collaboration with local businesses. Mr. Kono, president of Choshu Bussan, says, "Before the Corona disaster, group travelers accounted for 8% of the total number of travelers, and in the future, we would like to propose Yamaguchi's food, experiences, and souvenirs to individual travelers."
