The Tomioka City Tourism Association is looking for retro picture letters drawn on postcards|The work is exhibited at the World Heritage Tomioka Silk Mill

The Tomioka City Tourism Association is accepting picture letter works drawn on the theme of "My Favorite Retro World" as the "5th National Picture Letter Public Exhibition" (postmarked on 11/30).

Entries are for buildings, food, clothing, housing, traditional events, nostalgic items, retro picture letters, and so on. The collected works will be exhibited from January 21 (Sat) ~ March 21 (Tue, holiday), 2023 at the Higashioki Cocoon of the National Treasure Building in the Tomioka Silk Mill, a World Heritage Site. Depending on the work, it may be posted on the website.

 

To apply, draw a previously unpublished picture letter on a normal-sized postcard and mail it to the Tourism Association (postmarked on November 30). Entries are limited to one per person. The Tomioka City Tourism Association said, "Last year, we received 698 entries from all over the country, and we would be happy if we could collect picture letters from all over the country and visit the silk factory during the exhibition period." I will talk to you.
