Ferry-san Furawaa|Reservation acceptance of Japan's first LNG ferry "Kurenai" to be launched in January next year (11/14~)
On Friday, January 13 next year, Ferry Sanfurawaa announced that it will start accepting reservations for Japan's first LNG-fueled new LNG-fueled vessel, "Sanfurawa Kurenai," which will enter service on the Osaka-Beppu route on Monday, November 14.

The new vessel "Sanfurawa Kurenai" is larger (total length 199.9m) and has improved quietness with cutting-edge technology. The interior area per person has been increased from 6.9 square meters to 10.9 square meters. The number of private rooms will increase significantly, and public spaces will be set up to enhance comfort. In terms of freight transportation, the number of trucks loaded and the driver's cabin will increase.
The naming and launching ceremony for the vessel was held at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' Shimonoseki Shipyard in March this year.
From Friday, January 13th, the "Osaka" ⇌ "Beppu" route will be operated by two ships, "Kurenai" and the current ship "Kobaro". The other current vessel "Aibori" will be in operation by Thursday, January 12.
In April next year, the second LNG-fueled new LNG-fueled vessel, the Sanfurawa Murasaki, is scheduled to enter service. Details of rooms and fares will be announced in October.
