"Smile Hotel Miyakojima" will open on April 14, 2025 - Good news for Miyako repeaters with the first store opening on a remote island [PR]
"Smile Hotel Miyakojima" will be rebranded and opened in Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture on Monday, April 14, 2025. This is the brand's third hotel in Okinawa Prefecture and the first on a remote island. It is operated by Hospitality Operations.
Smile Hotel Miyakojima is located in the Hirara area in the center of the city, about 12 minutes by car from Miyako Airport and about 25 minutes from Shimojishima Airport (Shimojishima). There is a downtown area within a 1-minute walk, which is convenient for both business and sightseeing.
The hotel has good access to Miyakojima's leading sightseeing spots, such as Yonaha Maehama Beach, which is known for its Miyako Blue, Higashi Heianzaki, a scenic spot, and the popular Kurima Ohashi driving course. From the hotel's rooftop terrace, you can watch the sunset over Irabu Island.
The building consists of two areas, "Zone A (Asobi Building)" and "Zone B (Biz Building)", and has a total of 135 rooms (all non-smoking). There are also Japanese-style rooms, Japanese-Western rooms, universal rooms, and other rooms for families and long-term guests.
Breakfast is served in Japanese, Western and Ryu buffet style. You can also use the "BENTO BOX style" that you can enjoy on the rooftop terrace or on the go.
