[Travel report] Noto Peninsula for the first time in 10 years (middle part)|To Noto Town by hometown taxi
This is a good travel report (middle part). In the first part, I introduced the destination that was decided to go to the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. In this article, we will start with an explanation of our destinations in Noto. (Photo courtesy of Ishikawa Prefecture Tourism Federation)

Destinations and reasons
( prequel Noto is the largest peninsula on the Sea of Japan side line, and is divided into 4 cities and 5 towns, the quiet "Uchiura" facing Toyama Bay, the "Sotoura" facing the Sea of Japan, and the "Oku Noto", "Chu Noto" and "Kuchinoto" in order from the tip of the peninsula.
This time, the dart thrown on the map of the Noto Peninsula stuck in "Noto Town" located in Uchiura and Oku Noto. It is a region with a population of about 14 thousand people (corrected). At the beginning of the article, I suddenly remembered a TV show. The Noto Peninsula seems to be a good target for darts.
I had already decided to take a trip to Noto. I was fascinated by the fishing spots I saw on YouTube. Recently, I've been into solo fishing, which doesn't get too crowded, and I've decided to incorporate fishing into my travels. This is called an expedition in the industry. They get excited about the fact that they have been on a road trip recently and that they haven't. It is also a good idea to choose the destination of the first travel report on a hard news site, but the reporter O personal hobby. Of course, we will also introduce a little practical tourist information.
Noto Satoyama Airport Furusato Taxi
On November 17 last year, I used ANA's Toku Travel Miles to arrange my flight ticket. Two days later, on the morning of the 19th, reporter O arrived at Noto Satoyama Airport. The flight departed from Haneda at 8:55 a.m. and arrived at Noto at 9:55 a.m. It's a business trip, but it's great to be there in the morning two days after arranging a flight ticket for a domestic trip.
When I headed to the arrival lobby, I saw the " " I had booked the day before. Noto Satoyama Airport Furusato Taxi When you tell them you're making a reservation, the attendant will hand you a taxi ticket and say, "Show this to the taxi driver who is stopped." The Noto dialect, which I heard for the first time in 10 years, has a soft and comfortable feeling. When I went outside, there was a line of "hometown taxis".

One-way free campaign is underway (until 3/15)
Furusato Taxi is a secondary transportation service for airline passengers. It is a pre-made shared service that is offered at a flat rate and at a low price. The service section is between the airport and the 5 zones and 7 districts of the Noto Peninsula. Taxi and bus companies in charge of each zone provide vehicles, and those who wish to use them can make reservations by phone or online by the day before.
The "Koiji Sightseeing Bus" is in charge of going to Noto Town. The rather romantic name comes from the "Koiji Coast" in the town. It is said that the name is said to be the beach where the story of two young people who fell in love a long time ago remains.
The fare ranges from 900 yen to 2,100 yen for adults, and there are four fare settings depending on the destination zone area. Elementary school students and younger are half price. This is a good deal, but a one-way free campaign is being held until March 15 (Tuesday). The ride to Noto Town usually costs 900 yen, but it was free due to the campaign.
Secondary transportation from Noto Airport
According to Navitime Search, the fare from the airport to Noto Town Hall by general taxi is 9,270 yen. In addition, there was information that it was difficult to use the limited express bus from Kanazawa to Noto Town via the airport.
Based on this, if you want to move not only to Noto Town, but also to various places in the peninsula, it seems that you can choose one of the hometown taxis. In addition, to get to "Wakura Onsen" in Nakanoto, there is a "Noto Airport Connecting Ticket" (510 yen and 820 yen) that takes a local bus from the airport to Anamizu Station on the Noto Railway, and then takes the train to each station along the line. This is especially recommended for those who want to get a taste of the local railway.
There are three car rental companies at the airport, but it seems that it is difficult to make a reservation. When I checked with one company before the trip, they said that the reservation was fully booked two weeks ago. It is true that 10 years ago, I could not rent a car at the airport, so I remember going to Kanazawa to rent a car. It's not limited to Noto, but ANA When using this week's Toku Travel Miles, It can be difficult to arrange a rental car.
Accommodation Area
Noto Town is divided into five areas along Uchiura, "Mizuho / Satoyama", "Ugawa / Sanha", "Udezu", "Kujukuwan / Uchiura", and "Yanagida" in the inland area from the south. Reporter O stayed at "Udetsu" in the center of town on the first day, and stayed at "Kujukuwan / Uchiura" on the second night, which is counted as one of the 100 views of Japan.
Departure to Noto
When I got on the hometown taxi, the only passenger was reporter O. The interior of the station wagon is spacious and well ventilated. Along the way, the driver gave us various information about the town, and we made full use of that information.
About 25 minutes away, the complex located in the center of Udezu " Conseil's and I thanked the driver and got out of the car. There are no people around. The facility is built on the site of the former Noto Railway's Udezu Station, which was abandoned in March 2005. It is also next to the Noto Town Hall building. When I asked the staff if it was built recently because the building was beautiful, I was surprised to hear that it opened in 2014. Perhaps it has been well cared for and cleaned.

Furusato taxis are near the main road in the designated zone. Hope They will drop you off at the place. The accommodation I booked is where I am now It is about a 3-minute drive away. however It was before the check-in time, and I needed to work on the computer as soon as I arrived. When I told the driver, he recommended "Consale no To". This place was unmarked. The driver told me that French people living in Noto Town also work on computers from time to time.
Conseil's and
The facility has a specialty sales area, a tourist information center, a library for townspeople, and a conference room. I don't see any Frenchmen who were expecting a little bit of an encounter. There is a café counter in the specialty area, and I decided to say a few words to the staff and work on the computer while drinking tea. I ordered a set of coffee and French toast (500 yen) and immersed myself in the work at 13:30. French toast was the second breakfast I had that day, but I was already hungry.

To the town's cafeteria "Mohei Shokudo"
Following the driver's recommendation, we headed to the town's long-established restaurant "Mohei Shokudo". It is located just 3 minutes outside the facility on the way to the inn. The long-established cafeterias in the town are a tourist resource that is comparable to the scenic spots.
As I walked down the street, I saw a diner with an anticipatory atmosphere. Exclude the samples in the store before entering the store. The menu includes udon, soba noodles, ramen, and Western food. The number of items is Abundant. I'll stop posting menu photos, but 、 There are udon noodles and soba noodles (20 items), ramen noodles (9 items), rice bowls and curry (22 dishes), single dishes (20 dishes), and set menus (6 or more). I wonder how many there are I've counted them. They must have been adding menus frequently while continuing to operate.

Reporter O ordered a set menu (1,400 yen) of assorted shrimp tenderloin, rice, pickles, and miso soup. We had already eaten breakfast twice that day, and I was a little worried considering dinner, but this choice was the right choice. Both the shrimp and the fillet cutlet are juicy and the batter is light and crispy. I tasted Noto's new rice and these, and finished it in no time. The crab miso soup made with white miso paste is also sweet and delicious. My stomach and heart were satisfied.

At that time, the woman in the next seat I saw them eating curry soba noodles. I'm sure the driver is also It seems that he was recommending curry soba noodles. But abundant Before the menu, it is still It's tempting to choose your own food.
Choosing a place to stay
The time is 14:30, and we head to the inn after leaving the cafeteria. Tonight's accommodation is at "Minshuku Ryokan Fuwa" near the "Udezu Fishing Port", which is inland from the Rias coast of Uchiura. This inn is known as " Noto Town Tourist Guide NOTO I found it in. After confirming the location of the seaside with an aerial photograph, I made a reservation by phone.
Reporter O chooses an inn when traveling with fishing. First, refer to the official tourism site of the area and put a blind eye, Confirm its location in an aerial image. Located by the sea (preferably on foot) within a few minutes) , seaside From the size and shape of the embankment and tetra to the topography of the seabed, Aerial photographs are used to give a rough indication.
Walking around town
On the way to Minshuku Fuwa, walk along the main street of the town, the Udezu Fishing Port Line. Along the way, there are a few townhouse-style shops. There is a sense of cleanliness on the streets. Maintenance and cleaning of public objects and buildings will be carried out frequently. later "It's not like the town is doing anything, but each group in the district has a high awareness of cleaning and building maintenance on a daily basis" (Noto Town Hall). When you feel a sense of cleanliness in a place you are visiting for the first time, it makes a very good impression.
If you proceed along the Udezu Fishing Port Line, you will enter a side road that separates into a residential area on the way. After a little further, it turns into "Uchiura Kaido". Here, "Uchiura", which divides the Noto Peninsula into the inner and outer parts, is used as the name of the highway. If you go further Houses of ordinary residents begin to come into view.

Minshuku Fuwa
After walking for 10 minutes from the cafeteria, we arrived at the guest house Fuwa. The building has a wide eaves and is a splendid townhouse. The deep dark brown of the wood is beautifully established. When I called out from the entrance, my husband, who was in his 30s, came out. It seems that there was an entrance for guests, and on the way to guide there, the view It was Udezu Fishing Port that jumped in. This On the day, I saw the sea for the first time after arriving in Noto Town. It is a sea view with a sizzle feeling. The village that can be seen over the fishing port The satoyama and scenery are wonderful, and I'm excited. . I want to get my tackle ready and fish as soon as possible.

The entrance for guests was on the other side of the Uchiura Highway. The inn is located between the Uchiura Highway and the street along the fishing port parallel to it. Facing both the highway and the sea, it is very It has a structure with depth.
After paying the accommodation fee (7,700 yen for 1 night and 2 meals) and deciding the dinner time, I was shown to my room. The room was a 6-tatami Japanese-style room with a board room of about 2 tatami mats. I put my fishing gear between the planks and placed the rest of my belongings in a comfortable place in the room to set up my home for the night.
It's time to start fishing
Prepare your tackle and head out to sea. If you go along the boat pool at the fishing port, you will see a seri. We are approaching the place. Start fishing on the embankment beside it. In such a place there are fish It should gather. When I threw the first worm, there was a strange feeling. It doesn't pull a lot, but it has weight. When I pulled it up, the octopus was sticking to it. After taking a commemorative photo, we returned it to the sea.

After that, I hit it frequently, but it doesn't hit. However, you will never get bored because you can feel the intensity of the fish shadow. Compared to Tokyo Bay and Sagami Bay, which I visit on a daily basis, I feel that the fish shadows are 10 times darker. Not being able to catch it is another story.
About 1 hour has passed. When I thought about taking a walk around the town before the sun went down, I had a strong response. It's the feeling of snatching a worm. What I caught was a 40 cm long snake-faced fish called Eso. Many small bones Because it is difficult to eat , a fish that is not very liked among anglers 。 I will release it into the sea while thanking Eso for enjoying the response. Reporter O basically releases the fish he catches, regardless of whether it is a high-class fish or not.

At that time, Grandma spoke to me. It seems that he was watching everything fishing. He said it was rare for people to fish in this place, and the last time he saw them was a week ago. We immediately got to know each other and chatted for about 10 minutes about information about Noto Town and Corona. While fishing, you may find yourself blending into the living area of the local population before you know it. Such chance conversations are one of the best parts of traveling.
Stroll before dark
Leave your tackle at the inn and stroll around town. Proceed while looking at the small fishing boats moored in the boat pool of the fishing port continuously. We arrived at a park with a lawn called "Iyasaka Square" at the end of the fishing port. The view of the harbor from there was breathtaking. In the square, there is a display of tops shaped like shogi pieces, and there is a monument that the board game "Goita" originated in Udezu. It was here that I first learned about "Goita", which was invented in the Meiji era.

The Boy and Medina
In a small boat pool where the square meets the sea, two boys were fishing. An old man on a walk joined them and started a conversation about fishing. Reporter O was secretly listening to the conversation from behind. Listening to the conversations between local grandfathers and children is also part of sightseeing 。 However, I was reluctant to eavesdrop and leave, so I talked to them.
At that time, the boy was fishing for horse mackerel and medina in just 2-3 minutes. When reporter O says, "You're good," the boy proudly says, "Medina is delicious grilled with salt." However, it is not clear whether the conversation was fully understood 。 But that's not so much In important It isn't. They usually take Medina eating, It is also sold at the supermarket in town He told me. Later, when I went to look at the fresh fish section of the supermarket, I saw a magnificent medina of about 30 cm with a tag for the morning catch. Freshly caught medina is very tasty, but it is difficult to keep it fresh, and it is rarely seen in supermarkets in Tokyo.
Learning about Medina from a local boy was one of the unique pleasures of the trip. The sun is still high, so I'm going to take a walk around the town

Dinner at a guest house
The sky is darkening and dinner is approaching, so we return to the inn. At 19 o'clock we enter the dinner room. It was a spacious room with more than 20 tatami mats. One man is already enjoying a meal and a drink. Later, one woman joined. Sufficient social distancing is maintained, and everyone eats in silence. In the past, there might have been greetings and some conversations, but in the Corona disaster, people tend to refrain from interacting outside, even if they have their own way of thinking. There is a TV in the room, and everyone I think I was able to spend my time without worrying about it.
If you want to know the land, eat dinner at the local inn.
When on a fishing expedition, reporter O chooses a guest house in a port town. The reason for this is that it is located near the fishing port, so you can easily enjoy fishing, and you can easily access the town. On the first day of your stay, you will choose to have dinner at the inn whenever possible. The separation of overnight meals is popular, and overnight stays and eating out without meals are common, but we believe that the charm of minshuku lies in dinner.
I remember a hardbold writer who said, "If you want to know a place, do it there." If I were a reporter O, I would say, "If you want to know about the land, eat dinner at the local guest house." Dinner was very satisfying. Fresh ingredients and cooking and seasoning to match. In particular, the mouth of the squid goes surprisingly well with alcohol.

Night Fishing
After dinner, I went fishing at night again, but after a while, my phone turned off. Maybe it's because it's pitch black around here, so I feel a little restless. Smartphones are not essential for fishing, but I returned to the inn with the help of a flashlight and a distant light. I went back to the inn, took a bath, and was already in bed by 10pm. The article is titled "Good Journey Report ( sequel )" and so on.
I would like to express my deepest condolences to all those affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in Reiwa 6. I would like to express my respect to those who are working hard to support the victims and rebuild during this difficult time. It brings back memories of Noto Town, which I visited in 2021. We hope for a speedy recovery in the affected areas. My desire to convey the charm of Noto to as many people as possible remains unchanged. Through this article, I would like to convey the state of Noto Town at that time and share my feelings of support.
