Weekend trip to Tottori and Shimane (first part)
Reporter O went on a weekend trip to Tottori and Shimane on April 22 (Fri) ~ 25 (Sun) using "Haneda" ⇌ "Yonago" (3,000 miles one way) of ANA's "Tokutabi Mile of the Week" announced on Tuesday, April 19. I spent half of my stay fishing, but I will report on sightseeing in between in two parts.

On the day of departure from the weekend trip, work is just right in Haneda
The outbound flight is Friday, April 19, between Haneda Airport (18:20) → Yonago Airport (19:40). I arrived at Haneda Airport around noon on Friday. You will check in your luggage along with the check-in procedure and work in the lounge near the boarding gate until the departure time. When I went to the boarding gate 30 minutes before departure, I didn't know how many cups of coffee I had drunk and my stomach was upset.
Does Yonago Airport have three names?
The flight departs from Haneda Airport on time. I arrived at Yonago Airport before the scheduled time. The registered address is Sakaiminato City. Sakaiminato City is famous for "Mizuki Shigeru Road", which is a city based on his work, because "Shigeru Mizuki", the creator of the manga "Kitaro", spent his childhood as a boy. I'll come back to this area again.
The Japan Air Self-Defense Force took over management of this airport from the Air Force. In the 1960s, ANA began regular flights and became a public-private airfield. There are three names. The official name is "Air Self-Defense Force Miho Base". (In civilian use) commonly known as "Yonago Airport", nicknamed " Yonago Kitaro Airport 」。 The location of the airport is Sakaiminato City, but it is attached to Yonago. I checked with the relevant parties to find out why, but I don't know the answer. I got information that one corner of the site is Yonago City, but I don't know if it has anything to do with the name.
Once in downtown Yonago
Reporter O's destination is Sakaiminato and the Shimane Peninsula, but he will take a bus from the airport to Yonago Station. It is in the opposite direction from the Sakaiminato city area. It would be nice to stay at Sakaiminato, but the rental car was arranged in Yonago. I didn't make it to the airport's car rental opening hours on an overnight flight. It could not be arranged even in Sakaiminato City. Therefore, on the first day, near Yonago Station hotel The next morning, pick up a rental car and head to Sakaiminato. On the last day, I planned to go to the airport by local train after returning to Yonago. ANA "Tokutabi Mile of the Week" Since the travel destination is decided at the last minute, it can be difficult to make local arrangements.
My hunch hit "Izakaya Taiheiki"
After arriving at the hotel, look for an izakaya on Yonago Ekimae Street, where restaurants gather for dinner. I didn't check the store beforehand, but relied on my intuition. After checking out the main street and marking a few houses, when I entered the back street, I saw a row of yellow lanterns that made me want to drink beer. Izakaya Taiheiki encountered. The intuition sensor worked and I made an immediate decision.
I came across this shop, so I'm glad I stayed in Yonago even if it was a long detour. I couldn't introduce the number of items because I was alone, but please see some photos of the dishes.

Local noodles in the central and western part of Tottori Prefecture "Beef bone ramen"
I'm going to eat one more restaurant that is typical of Yonago. Before I encountered the Taiping Chronicle, I saw it as I passed by Beef bone ramen shop "Ramen Banrai" To. Speaking of ramen in Tottori, it is "beef bone". If you stay in Tottori, you should eat it at least once. Reporter O himself does not remember whether he has ever experienced beef bones in the past. When you eat it, it has a characteristic flavor that makes you realize that you are tasting beef bones. It's delicious. You might say that different people have their own quirks, but those who like them say that their quirks are flavors.
In addition, beef bones are also found in Tottori Local ramen in the Midwest (wiki) It seems that there are many specialty stores in Yonago and Sakaiminato.

The relationship between a big politician in Tottori Prefecture and local ramen?
The next morning, when I opened the local newspaper Japan Kai Shimbun that I received at the front desk of the hotel, I was told that a major politician from Tottori Prefecture had been appointed as chairman and had launched the Ramen Parliamentary Federation (Ramen Culture Promotion Parliamentary League) with the meaning of regional revitalization Article published It had been.
Then, on the second and third days, the report sequel I will introduce it in.
