"The 1st Good Trip Kawayanagi Tanka Award" Call for Submissions (Announcement of Results)
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the approximately 1,200 entries we received. Today, we are pleased to announce the winners. We apologize for the delay and any concern this may have caused. The winners were selected from a wide range of ages, from teenagers to 60s. In addition, there were many applications from high school students. For this reason, we will present a special award to three people. Prizes will be shipped after prior notice.

| Regarding the < selection> the editorial department selected about 600 works in the first round of screening (unfortunately, there were quite a few works that did not meet the application guidelines). Next, in the second round of judging, judges from nine regions decided on nine works for the "Local Communication Award." At the same time, 20 works were selected for the Grand Prize and Excellence Award. After that, the editorial department selected 10 works in the third round of judging. Finally, the editorial department and nine regions voted in a final round to determine the Grand Prize and Excellence Award. |

Afterword
The "1st Good Travel Kawayanagi Tanka Award" was open to the public, and on the occasion of the first anniversary of the site's establishment and the revival of full-fledged travel, we solicited works with the aim of expressing travelers' feelings in Kawayanagi and tanka. In addition, the judges will contribute to the project from December 2022 ~ March 2023. Good trip Communication from the local area We sought the cooperation of the municipalities and tourism associations of the nine regions in charge of the project.
Many of the entries conveyed the artist's thoughts on the journey. As someone who deals with travel information on a daily basis, I had a great learning time. We have heard similar feedback from the judges in each region. On the other hand, it was difficult to select all the works because they were difficult to beat. For this reason, I still wish that more works could have been awarded. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who applied.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the municipalities and tourism associations in the nine regions for their efforts in the selection process.
If there is a "2nd Good Tabikawa Yanagi Tanka Award", I think it will be around May 2024. By the end of this year, we are planning to publish a reader submission page for Kawayanagi and haiku. We look forward to your continued support of the travel news newsletter.
