Yahoo! Browser "Camera Search"|Launched "Spot Search" to search for information from images of sightseeing spots whose names are unknown
Yahoo! JAPAN today launched the "Spot Search" feature, which allows users to search for information on facilities and sightseeing spots they want to know from images using the "Camera Search" function of the Yahoo! JAPAN browser (Android app).

"Camera search" is a function that searches for similar products from images with AI. "Spots" have been added to the previous search targets for clothes and food. If you don't know information such as sightseeing spots that you found on the web or SNS and saved on your smartphone, or images of facilities taken on time, you may be able to use "spots" to find information.

Image analysis technology (AI) identifies spots by comparing the characteristics of search images with data from about 20,000 items in Japan, including regional and map information held by Yahoo! JAPAN. Names, images, descriptions, and addresses as search results. You can also see the related search terms that are being searched for along with the name.
Since the Yahoo! browser is an application for Android, the Yahoo! app for iOS does not have a "camera search" function.
