Beach resort "Oumi Wave" in the northern part of Lake Biwa opens|Camping area added this year

The beach resort "OUMI WAVE" in Shinmeihama, northern Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture, will start operating for the season from Saturday, July 9th. The business period is until Sunday, November 6th.

"Oumi Wave" is a facility that opened in July last year in the shallow Shinmeihama beach in the northern part of Lake Biwa. You can relax on the wooden deck by the lake or in the tent sauna, experience lake activities such as SUP and kayaking, BBQ, and food from the kitchen car. This season, a new camping area has been set up in the shade of the trees that can be used for overnight stays and day trips (bring your own tent). There are about 10 tents.

Admission is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for children (double price with showers). Camping is 3,000 yen ~ for accommodation and 2,000 yen ~ for day trips. The parking fee is 1,000 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and summer vacation, and 500 yen on weekdays.

Business hours are 9 a.m. ~ sunset. Local access is 15 minutes from JR Sakata Station and 15 minutes from Nagahama IC and Yonehara IC on the Hokuriku Expressway.
